Baskal Korkis: The Real Estate Empire has grown exponentially
Over the last 20 years, the real estate empire founded by Baskal Korkis has grown exponentially. He now owns 23 buildings in and around Tampa Bay, Florida, enough to put his imprint on the region.
What is remarkable about the rise of his enterprise is that it all began when Baskal was only 14 and in high school. He was one of the lucky ones who discovered his passion early on, and was given the freedom and encouragement to pursue it. Now — at the young age of 34 — Baskal is a veritable mogul, sitting atop a multi-faceted business that includes an accounting firm, a rental company, a financial services company, and an insurance agency that specializes in real estate investments,
But what sets Baskal apart from most real estate entrepreneurs is his desire to give back to the community. After spending the last 20 years navigating his way towards success, Baskal witnessed firsthand how few people knew how to manage their own personal finances.
“Everyone should educate themselves regarding their personal finances,” Baskal says. “Unfortunately, our current education system doesn’t offer this type of education. No one is going to help them but themselves and my goal is to teach people via social media for free.”Generous enough to share his knowledge, the self-made entrepreneur cranks out daily posts via Instagram with tips on how to maximize finances and how-to videos on real estate construction.
Now with his Instagram account exceeding one hundred thousands followers, he has real clout. He urges these followers to think beyond short-term gratification, and make better decisions that will benefit them in the long run.“
